Weigh-in this AM was 190.0. Just so depressing, but I can’t expect to be better than that, really.
So now that I know where I’m starting I need to think about my goals, both short and long term. So looking at my weight loss spreadsheet (which I plan on bloggin’ about later), it looks like I have about 8 weeks until this challenge is over. That will be my first short term goal.
May 20, 2009 Goal —-> 180, which would be a loss of 10 lbs
So a my goals I’d like to reach before next Wednesday weigh-in are:
Food Goal —->
More veggies, fruits, and salads.
Less fried foods, red meat, Diet Cokes, white carbs, and sugar.
Water Goal —->
I drink zero water. In fact, the only thing I really drink is Diet Coke. I drink a little milk each day usually, but that’s it! I ran out of Diet Cokes yesterday and I’m thinking I’m just not going to buy any more. You just don’t know how bad that’s going to be. This is going to sound crazy, but DC’s are more than just a drink. It’s like a comforting, soothing thing for me. When I get mad, grab a DC. When I’m happy about something, grab a DC. When I’m sad, grab a DC. You get the point! So now I need to get into a routine of grabbing some water. I seriously don’t have money to spend on bottled water, which are really nice and convenient. So I need to find a good container that’s easy to take with me and keep near me.
This seems nearly impossible. Ok, not impossible, just not easy or convenient. Since I’m not working now and have my 5 year old at home with me 24/7, I’m not sure what to do. I’m thinking of turning to FitTV channel and trying some of those workouts. I know something is better than nothing. Back in 2007 when I lost a good amount of weight, I went everyday to a park in town and walked/ran. I’d get my iPod and just enjoy the time alone. My husband really tried to get me to workout with him earlier this year. I don’t know. I could ramble on about this for quite awhile, but I think for now I’m just going to say my plan is to do something everyday.
One that may be an issue, is that we’re heading to the beach tomorrow for a soccer tournament. Going out of town can be hard, because you want to whip through a drive through to grab something when you’re in a hurry.
